Gordon "Grode" Clark attended the University of the Pacific on-and-off in between 1967 and 1973. In 1968, he started Stuart Little Band, which was based in Stockton, played throughout northern California, and opened for many famous acts of the time such as Santana and Jefferson Airplane.
